United originally thought he had played more times for Brazil, but were mistaken. Silva will need a work permit before he can play for them., but his Brazilian club Corinthians have accepted a bid from Old Trafford believed to be around �4 million. Club solicitor and director Maurice Watkins told PA Sport: ``A figure has been agreed with his club and negotiations are well advanced with the player. Hopefully they will be finalised today.'' Watkins added: ``The actual transfer will not be completed until we have lodged the work permit application with the Department of Employment and that has been granted.'' |
